What a linear accelerator (LINAC) actually is
A LINAC generates high-energy X-ray beams electronically — nothing radioactive is stored inside it. The machine is only "on" during your treatment, arcs around you without touching you, and shapes each beam to the tumour with a computer-controlled collimator whose leaves move like fingers.
Our machine: Varian TrueBeam
The TrueBeam is the same class of accelerator installed in leading metro and international cancer centres. It photographs your internal anatomy before every session (image guidance) and adjusts for millimetre-level accuracy.

The team behind every beam
Every plan is built and checked by a radiation oncologist, a medical physicist and radiotherapy technologists, with independent quality-assurance checks on the machine daily, monthly and annually. You will know your team by name — and the machine is never the doctor; it only carries out a plan made for you.
